Biography
I was
born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. There I had the
happiest of childhoods in a family of eight.
I became
interested in art at a very early age, and at 18, left for Utah where
I earned a BFA in printmaking. Frequent trips to the desert to see
ancient rock art inspired my early work.
After
a year an a half in Japan, I attended the Ohio State University. It
was there that I adopted chair, hats and clothing as motifs. It was
also on campus that I met my husband and two and a half years later,
gave birth to our first child.
I now
live in Georgia, where I teach part time at Wesleyan College. I love children's
literature and travel with my family.
