Kristen Applebee is a writer and illustrator of children’s books who earned a BFA from Brigham Young University, an MFA from The Ohio State University, and an Early Childhood Educator’s Certificate from Wesleyan College. She has exhibited her work across the country and taught on five college campuses in three states. She currently teaches as an adjunct faculty at Wesleyan College.

Kristen has won the Liz Conrad Illustration Scholarship, Placed 2nd and 3rd for the SCBWI/ Southern Breeze Annual Writing Contest (2011 & 2012), and an Honorable Mention for the 2012 Illustration Contest.

She lives with her husband and three children in Macon, GA.
